Hello from Western New York State

Hi everyone! I am an avid container and in ground gardener in 6b zone. I have several medical issues so gardening both mental and physical therapy for me! I have converted all my ground beds into mostly native perennials and a few spots for new color each year. I do flowers, veggies, herbs and fruits in containers. Started three hanging baskets of ever bearing strawberries last year, will see how they wintered over. Here is last year's flower tower.

Hey glad you're here! πŸ˜ƒ Strawberries are one of my all-time faves too πŸ“πŸ€€

What are those pink flowers on the bottom? They're gorgeous

Thank you! Double begonias! A local nursery, Russell's, has huge beautiful hanging baskets for $25. I just pop off the hanger. The fuchsia, one above begonias, also from Russell's.
My strawberry hanging pots wintered over so-so. The rotten squirrels ravaged one pot of it's plant! Stinkers πŸΏοΈπŸ“πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Wow, I didn't know there were doubles! They make me think of that Grateful Dead song, Scarlet Begonias ☺️

Do you have to do anything to keep them away from the strawberries? I expect once they get a taste for a berry they'd never leave them alone 🫣
