Hello from the PNW

Hi. I have been learning how to rejuvenate soil and growing vegetables in it each year. I've been composting in 2 or 3 different ways. I'm still learning things and this looks like a great place to hang. Anti-fascist Anti-capitalist. โœŠ๐Ÿป power to the people.

Hi Georgia! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm curious to hear about the ways you've been composting, and how your soil is coming along. I'm learning as much as I can about different composting methods too, and excited to try some different ones. I might start a worm bin or do a Johnson-Su next ๐Ÿค” Tell us more!

Hi Georgia! I compost the most lazy way. Just everything piled into one big bin (mostly garden waste and chicken barn muck). I ferment my chicken feed, so the shed water goes on that pile as well. But mostly it just degrades in 3-6 months, depending on season and then I move onto a different bin. I have a hotfrog dual composter, but it's been more pain than product. I live in Western Washington which means tons of moisture over 9 months of the year and the hotfrog got too wet. Needs to be under a sheltered area, so, back to the lazy, cold composting for me. I'm curious as to your favorite methods.
